ParaPlan has a feature that allows riders to see their own upcoming trips right on their own mobile device. They can also see the GPS location of their van when it is enroute to get them. This reduces the amount of time a rider has to wait outside, reduces "where's the bus" calls and reduces rider anxiety.
During this initial phase, each rider must be activated manually. To activate, create a new user and enter the rider's email address and requested password. Then fill out the REST endpoint as if you were adding a new driver. Instead of selecting a driver's name, select the Client option and select the rider's name from the drop down box.
Instruct the rider to download the ParaPlan app from the App Store and enter their email and password to see their upcoming trips and enroute vans.
